Canadian Utility Services is a full service contractor for transmission, distribution, foundation, forestry, telecommunications and renewable energy sectors.
**Qualifications**:
Must have Class 1 driver's license.
3 years experience or equivalent work experience.
Valid driver’s license & clean driving abstract would be an asset.
Able to work independently.
Must have first aid and WHMIS.
Must be willing to travel and stay in hotels or camps.
**Duties include**:
Drivers must be able to maneuver tractor-trailer into loading or unloading positions, following signals from others and work as part of a team.
Connecting or disconnecting air and electrical lines and manipulating fifth-wheel locks.
Must be able to properly secure loads for transport using chains, binders, and straps with the ability to climb ladders to inspect loads.
Locating and gaining access to remote locations.
Perform inspections of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights, turn signals and brakes.
Ensure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements.
Follow all safety policies, procedures and legislation.
Hourly rate: $30.00
