The Stony Plain Inn & Suites is seeking a seasonal Banquet Cook to join our team for the busy banquets season
**Job Summary**:
As a Banquet Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for large events and gatherings. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes according to the event’s menu and standards. You will work closely with the team to ensure timely and efficient service, maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes for banquets, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with the banquet team to coordinate food preparation and service.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stocking supplies.
- Provide guidance and support to junior kitchen staff as needed.

**Qualifications**:
- 1-2 years proven experience as a cook, preferably in a banquet or catering setting.
- Food Safe Certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to take directions and follow instructions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
