Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Education Assistant to join our team. As an Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the needs of a student with cebral palsy. This position requires experience working with children, strong communication skills, and a passion for education.

Hours are Monday to Friday from 12-5pm approximately. Full days are available when other support workers are absent and during summer.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide support to students with special education needs
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members
- Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance

Qualifications:

- MUST have Level 1 child care certification (all levels welcome to apply)
- First aid and CPR
- Current police check with vulnerable sector search
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare setting
- Knowledge of special education practices and techniques
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Passion for educating and supporting students

This will be a 2 stage interview. Stage 1 is meeting with daycare admin. Stage 2 is a short meeting the child and family.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week

- Level 1, 2 or 3 Child care certification (preferred)
