A mature and driven team player, with a proven track record of customer service excellence. You thrive in fast-paced environments, and are easily able to multitask helping customers with store maintenance activities such as stocking shelves, merchandising and general housekeeping.

**What You'll Do**:

- Meet, greet and thank customers and provide friendly, informed service to them.
- Guide customers to the location of requested items.
- Suggest value-added and related products by actively listening to customer needs.
- Locate products in the store and warehouse.
- Respond to and handle customer inquiries, requests and concerns in a timely manner, over the phone and in person.
- Learn about new products on a regular basis.
- Ensure that your department is customer ready at all times.
- Identify low stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Work safely and report any observed or potential hazards immediately.
- Complete other tasks when required.

**What You'll Need**:

- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Basic math and typing skills.
- Comfort in learning or experience with retail computer systems and tools.
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks in a team setting, or individually.
- Ability to adapt and cope with challenging and changing situations.
- Ability to consistently provide professional customer service, including in situations of conflicts.
- Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours, lifting and carrying items unassisted, using a ladder, and twisting, turning, reaching. Merchandise items may vary in weight from “light” to “heavy”.
- Strong belief in the Canadian Tire values of honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Positive attitude, punctuality and solid work ethic.

As a condition of employment, applicants will need to complete employment verification.

Working duties include use of retail equipment such as ladders, pallet jacks, and dollies. Frequent lifting of variably weighted merchandise is a regular part of the working duties.
