**Status: Full Time TEMPORARY**

**Department: Corporate Learning**

**Site: Hogarth Riverview Manor**

**Location: Thunder Bay, ON**

**Shifts: Days
**Reporting to the Director of Care, the Corporate Learning Coordinator LTC is responsible for facilitating the development, delivery, and monitoring of learning and telemedicine activities. Telemedicine responsibilities relate to the centralized videoconference equipment.

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Diploma in business administration or other relevant discipline
- Minimum one year previous related experience
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience in adult education

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Must have the ability to demonstrate and assume supportive physical postures while instructing Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to deliver presentations to large and small groups
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, coworkers, staff, and outside organizations
- Self-directed with an ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent computer skills and must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated interest in use of technology for the delivery of education/training activities
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job including standing, kneeling, squatting, sitting, carrying and bending on a repetitive basis

**Assets**:

- Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and Gentle Persuasive Approach preferred
- Clinical background
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access and Adobe Acrobat Writer considered an asset
- Experience in web-based learning technology and use of videoconferencing equipment considered an asset
- Experience in development of educational materials considered an asset

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
