We are looking for full-time machinist / millwright working primarily as a turbocharger technician who has extensive and proven expertise in their trade. We are looking for industry leaders and professionals with superior skills in the areas of rotating equipment overhauls and mechanical repairs who specialize in turbocharger repairs and overhauls.

**IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING**:

- Knowledge of equipment requirements to assess and evaluate repairs during emergency breakdowns
- Large and medium engine turbo chargers, KBB, ABB, MAN, Napier etc.
- Steam turbines of all makes
- Gearboxes of all makes and sizes
- Compressors
- Impellor, vane, gear, piston and other types of pumps

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Superior skills, you must be a true specialist in rotating equipment/turbo charger overhaul and repairs
- Self-starter capable of working productively under no supervision
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Fluent English in both conversational and technical terms (written and oral)
- Mechanical Engineering Degree is preferred or in a related field, training courses relevant to turbochargers is an asset
- Preferred 5 years’ experience in related position

**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
- Reverse engineer parts/equipment from no drawing or material specifications
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
- Write and provide detailed technical service reports of the equipment repaired
- Potential to machine precision parts from customer drawings
- Identify and recommend innovative solutions to problems
- Performing routine daily maintenance on equipment, inspection & records data.
- Report damaged or missing material/equipment
- Follow the company's ISO 9001 related activities and programs
- Ensure that all work is performed according to the company's and OHSA Safety Policies
- Other duties as instructed by the Mechanical/Manufacturing/Rotating Shop Foreman

**MORE DETAILS**:

- The machinist / millwright / turbocharger technician will work hands-on with little to no supervision in both a shop environment and in the field and must be a self-starter. The position encourages growth and reward through challenging and unique projects.
- Standard hours of work per week is 40 hours
- Due to the nature of the job, you may be required to work outside of normal business hours, which may include weekends, weeknights, or holidays

- Permanent Positions - Workers must be looking be looking for a permanent position and to relocate to Canada. There will be a 3 month probation period

**STANDARD HOURS**:40 hours per week, shift is 7:00am - 3:30pm

**DOUBLE TIME (+100%) APPLIES**:

- For all hours in excess of sixteen (16) hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period where an employee is working as directed by the company
- For all hours worked on statutory holidays
