A term full-time Assistant Coordinator is required for the Early Learning Services Department located at the offices of the Ottawa Catholic School Board. The Assistant Coordinator works in conjunction with another Assistant Coordinator and under the guidance of the Coordinator.

Current work location: 3 days per week in the office (Thursday, Friday and 1 flexible day) + 2 days per week with a work-from-home option.

Start date: ASAP - July 21, 2023 with a possible extension.

The primary responsibilities will relate to the overall operations of the 44 licensed Extended Day Programs. This may include assisting in hiring and training of new staff, facilitating professional development, collection of documentation, collation of data, preparation of reports and /or drafting of policies or manuals and addressing parent, children and staff concerns. Additionally the Assistant Coordinator will be responsible for site visits of the programs.

Qualifications for this position include:

- ECE or equivalent diploma, additional university education in a field related to children and/or human services is an asset.
- Registration in good standing with the College of ECE’s
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory/administrative role
- Minimum of 5 years working directly with children.
- Valid Driver's license and regular access to a vehicle
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to combine critical thinking with compassion to provide daily guidance, often in pressure situations

**Salary**: $70,265.00 per month
