Located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, West Vancouver is a vibrant community on the North Shore and home to parks, beaches, and to sports, recreation and arts amenities. Our dedicated staff deliver services, operate facilities and run the programs that enhance the well-being of our community. We are seeking employees with a passion for public service who share our commitment to creating a complete, inclusive and livable community.
- Reporting to the Parks Maintenance Manager, assignments for this position will vary, but may include:

- Installing and maintaining a number of water and irrigation systems,
- Repairing valves, pipes, drains and general plumbing fixtures located in Municipal facilities,
- Minor building repairs
- Providing written reports on an as required basis; and
- Performing other duties as operationally required such as: park construction; sign and trails maintenance; maintaining playgrounds, sports fields, and grass areas; cemetery duties; garbage removal.
- Position Status:
- Union (WVMEA) - Temporary, Full-Time- Hours of Work:
- 40 hours per week (hours and days of work may vary)- Rate of Pay:
- $32.39 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits
