**In summary, what does the role entail?**
As a **Health and Safety Specialist**, you will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding employees and managers in adopting safe and compliant practices. Your mission will include developing and implementing prevention programs, providing health and safety training, and conducting inspections for our Saint-Eustache plant. With your leadership, you will raise awareness and ensure a safe and productive work environment.

**What is the ideal profile for this position?**
- **Education**: Bachelor's in Industrial Relations or equivalent + Certificate in Health and Safety or Industrial Hygiene.
- **Experience**: 5 to 8 years in health and safety, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- **Skills**: Advanced knowledge of Quebec health and safety laws and regulations.
- **Qualities**: Inspirational leadership, excellent communication skills (English and French)*, autonomy, dynamism, and a passion for prevention.
**As a Health and Safety Specialist, what will your responsibilities be?**
- Develop an annual health and safety plan and monitor established objectives.
- Lead the H&S committee, ensure compliance with laws, and train staff on safe practices.
- Analyze accidents, recommend corrective actions, and conduct investigations with HR.
- Monitor performance indicators, perform audits, and manage accident and temporary assignment cases.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in H&S and respond to emergencies.
- Evaluate workplace risks and recommend tailored prevention programs.
- Identify risks related to equipment modifications and coordinate inspections with maintenance.
- Engage managers in accident prevention activities.
