Metal Fabricator

**Summary**:
**Fabricator Duties**:

- Be able to take instruction, and carry out necessary tasks as may be assigned by the shop Foreman
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
- Layout, position and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications on assignments
- Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc or other welding equipment
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Fabricate metal assemblies and weldments
- Be familiar with structural Fabrication forming and various other fabrication processes
- Be able to use technical drawing and various other specs and verbal instructions for planning and accomplishing the goal.

**Fabricator Requirements**:

- Must pay close attention to detail
- Have the ability to meet deadlines,
- CWB certification will be considered an asset
- Red Seal will be considered an asset
- Overhead Crane, Fall Protection and Aerial workplace platform training will also be an asset
- Experience cutting and joining metal parts for fabricating or repairing, vehicle equipment, tools and other various articles

**Experience**:

- Metal fabrication: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
