Bracebridge, Canada True North Log Homes Full time

Reporting to the Plant Manager, we are looking to add individuals who are highly motivated with a great attitude to our close-knit team in the role of General Labourer, based in Bracebridge, Ontario. We offer a competitive compensation package including:

- Day shift, Monday to Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Starting hourly wage of $21.50/hour

**General Labourer - Production**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assists with set-up and maintenance of the production machines
- Operates machinery in a safe manner; feeds conveyors, hoppers, saws and drying machines
- Removes scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing
- Saws, trims, and planes rough lumber into dressed lumber of various sizes
- Conducts quality checks on logs before staining and packing
- Assists the stain team with staining logs
- Maintains cleanliness of machines and immediate work areas
- Performs repairs on factory machinery, as required (i.e., replace blades or bands, etc.)

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role, is considered an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Self-motivated and willing to tackle challenges head on with a positive attitude
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

Pay: $21.50 per hour
