The Rapid Antigen Tester (RAT)/Screener is responsible for conducting the screening and testing of staff, students, support workers, caregivers, volunteers, and visitors of St. Joseph’s at Fleming under the direction and supervision of the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Lead.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the screening of all individuals that enter the facility, maintaining required documentation as set out by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
- Responsible for the collection of RAT samples, processing of tests, maintaining any required documentation and data bases as set out by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
- Communicating to members of Management and Charge Nurse any concerns
- Completes audits and other documentation reviews as assigned
- Functions within the confines of relevant legislation, codes, acts, policies, procedures and standards and collective agreements
- Participate in annual education, required in-services, committees and adheres to St. Joseph’s at Flemings policies and procedures

**Qualifications**:

- Eligible or retired registrant of an RHPC, preferred.
- Knowledge of IPAC procedures, an asset.
- Education in a health-related discipline with knowledge of nasal oropharyngeal anatomy, an asset
- Proven experience working in a high-energy, technical, demanding, and multi-tasking environment
- Must have proficient computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to work weekends, statutory holidays, and varied shifts
- Must have excellent written, verbal, and nonverbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess strong conflict resolution skills and critical thinking skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
