**Company description**

Vincent Yu Paralegal and Immigration Services is a newly established Paralegal Professional Corporation in Ottawa. We are a team of Licensed Paralegals and Regulated Immigration Consultants. We provide immigration services to clients both in Canada and abroad and legal services to clients mainly in the Greater Ottawa area. We are seeking a licensed paralegal to join the team.

**Job description**

**Main Job responsibilities**:

- Represent clients before the Ontario Small Claims Court and Landlord and Tenant Board;
- Represent clients before the Ontario Court of Justice in provincial offence matters;
- Conduct legal research, prepare cases, draft legal documents and communicate with the courts and tribunals;
- Market the Corporation through different platforms and methods.

**Key Requirements**:

- Paralegal licensee of the Law Society of Ontario (“not providing legal services” status is acceptable);
- At least one year working experience in the Small Claims Court matters;
- Knowledge of Canadian immigration law will be an asset but not required;
- Willingness to expand practice areas wherever needed by the Corporation;
- Knowledge of Chinese will be an asset;
- Familiarity with practice management software such as Clio, PCLaw will be an asset;
- Good command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.;

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $38,889.00-$43,119.00 per year
