Stable Hand

Varenna Equestrian is a high caliber horse boarding, training, breeding, sales and competition facility just west of Edmonton Alberta Canada. We are currently searching for a skilled individual to join our team part-time.

The position involves the daily care of competition horses - included but not limited to feeding, watering, cleaning stables, cleaning paddocks, blanketing, handling horses of varied ages and general facility cleaning duties. The selected individual must be able to work alone or in a group setting, be able to comfortably lift 50lbs, have good customer relation skills and conduct themselves in a professional manner. Experience operating small farm equipment (side-by-side) is preferred. Horse experience is required for this position. A valid drivers license and reliable mode of transportation is required, as our facility is located outside city limits with no public transport access.

Salary is dependent on skill set and experience level. One horse boarded as part of the compensation package per selected applicant may be available. Shifts will be 4 to 5 hours in duration, and selected applicant must be able to work some weekend and some holiday shifts.
