and non-Mendelian Genetics, and BIOL 1123 _Organisms and Their Environment 2_ (winter term) which focuses
on molecular genetics and evolution. Additional responsibilities include training and supervising graduate and
undergraduate teaching assistants.

Applicants should preferably have a PhD or MSc in biology or a closely-related field, and should have a strong
background in foundational concepts in biology. The department is particularly interested in an individual with a
passion for teaching, a broad knowledge of biology, experience in developing and delivering laboratory
activities, and the ability to teach in person and online. Evidence for teaching excellence includes positive
endorsements from referees, a statement of teaching philosophy, course evaluations if available, or
demonstrated performance in other teaching related activities.
