Medical Receptionist

Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments, providing accurate information to patients
- Verify insurance coverage and collect necessary patient information
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Assist with billing and coding procedures
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Manage front desk activities, including handling mail, filing, and organizing paperwork
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar setting preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as OSCAR
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry and record-keeping
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

- No weekends

- Pembroke, ON K8A 0C6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Medical receptionist: 2 years (preferred)
