Landscape Mower Operators

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Maintain grass along M.D. subdivisions, hamlets, and landfills using a zero-turn lawn mower.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
- Clear rocks and debris from roadside ditches.
- Keep a daily log of miles maintained.
- Safe operation of a motor vehicle with and without a trailer in tow.
- Report any hazards along M.D. roadsides to immediate supervisor.
- Perform basic manual labour tasks including but not limited to litter control, cleaning spaces and/or equipment, painting, grass/weed trimming.
- Perform other related duties within the scope of the position as required.

Qualifications:

- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license in good standing.
- Experience with zero-turn mower operation would be considered an asset.
- Ability to tow and back up a trailer unit for loading and unloading equipment.
- Mechanical skills are an asset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to respond to inquiries.
- A safe and responsible attitude in dealing with equipment.
- Ability to work as part of a team or with mínimal supervision.
