**Young EnergyServe a Vertex Resource Group Company Ltd.** looking for motivated, dedicated and skilled individuals with industry experience with Industrial Tank Cleaning Turnarounds. This position does require travel throughout Western Canada in order to meet the needs of our clients.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
The vacuum truck operator is responsible for the driving, operating, loading, unloading and routine maintenance of chassis or semi-trailer mounted vacuum truck equipment. This position requires workers to have excellent equipment and vehicle problem solving skills. During onsite activities, the vacuum truck operator will be required to wear standard PPE including hearing protection and face protection.
- Rig in equipment including hoses, valves, vent lines, bonding and grounding cables
- Safe operation of diesel PTO driven vacuum pump and blower systems
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs to truck, piping, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Operation of air driven valves
- Perform assigned emergency response roles
- Supervise, mentor and coach onsite safety personnel and workers
- Complete required inspection records for PPE and equipment
- Complete required daily paperwork including time tickets and vehicle inspections
- Loading of vacuum tank to approved load levels based on road bans and conditions
- Unloading of DOW material into approved piping systems, tanks, and waste handling facilities
- Maintain inventories of supplied equipment and chemicals to ensure equipment is operational at all times
- Maintain log-books in accordance with DOT standards

**Qualification/ Experience Requirements**:

- 3+ years of experience in industrial cleaning operations
- Class 1 operator license with oilfield experience required
- Require 10 year commercial abstract within 30 days with no demerits
- Previous experience driving on highway, secondary and on lease roads with heavy equipment
- Knowledge of how to chain up and when it’s required
- In depth knowledge of:

- professional commercial driver obligations
- load securement, load placement
- highway traffic act, commercial vehicles act, hours of service
- weigh scale operations and requirements
- journey management program requirements
- operation, care, maintenance and troubleshooting of truck, tractor, trailer and blower units
- occupational health and safety regulations, safety programs (company and client)
- bonding and grounding of equipment
- operation of venting control equipment including various chemical and charcoal bed scrubber units
- operation of gas detection equipment
- Ability to take initiative, make key decisions, and use sound judgement
- Strong attention to detail and proven capability to meet goals, prioritize and multi-task

- OSSA Confined Space Entry Monitor
- First Aid/ AED - 2 day course
- EGSO - Considered an asset
- OSSA Fall Protection - Considered an asset
