Bison Fire has been in operation since 2001 primarily focused on three principal business service offerings including (i) fire alarm system inspection, repairs, and installation (ii) fire suppression system inspection, repairs and installation including fire extinguishers, extinguisher and hose cabinets, emergency lighting, residential fire protection and nurse call systems and (iii) sprinkler system inspection and remediation.

Bison Fire’s head office is in Springfield, MB with satellite offices in Brandon, Thompson, and Regina. With approximately 50 employees, Bison Fire performs work in numerous industries including mines, schools, healthcare, manufactures, retail, multi-family residential, autobody and other paint shops, and airports. Bison Fire provides their customers design, installation, maintenance, and inspection support. Our professional, highly trained staff have the capacity to ensure our customers have a complete and fully functional fire protection system that will ensure a smooth and continuous flow of business.

**Position Summary**

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the warehouse associate is responsible for the monitoring of the parts department, daily shipping/receiving duties, inventory management (including restocking) and organization within the warehouse. It is imperative the Warehouse Associate support and maintain a clear, safe and orderly warehouse environment and perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Parts picking, proper labelling and packaging of divisional deficiency work orders / customer sales orders.
- Customer service of daily walk-in customer parts and extinguisher inquiries. Documentation of customer contact information on all walk-in customer inquiries.
- Annual extinguisher inspections, prepping extinguishers for 6-year Maintenances or hydro testing
- Monitoring on outbound internal branch transfer requests. Process involves strong communication skills with branch location supervisors and coordinators, the proper safe packaging of parcels, skids, crates, etc. with all appropriate waybills, WHIMIS, IATA (international Air Transport documentation) dangerous goods tags and documentation.
- Receiving of daily inbound product orders and internal branch transfers. Process involves the receiving of daily inbound product from other branches as requested. Properly tagged and distributed as needed for work orders and stock items.
- Record keeping of all dangerous goods documentation and all safety data information on outbound shipments.
- Inventory/product organisation and maintenance. Monitoring of Inventory levels for restocking.
- Monitoring of open purchase orders and proper and consistent communication of outstanding product with sales/technical teams.
- General warehouse/Quonset tent organization, maintenance and cleaning. Bin location maintenance.
- Forklift inspections/operation (employer training provided)
- Quick books inventory system operation
- Warranty Returns
- Scheduling repairs and general building maintenance, Quonset tent, yard maintenance, garbage and recycle pick up requests.
- Receiving walk in customer COD payments
- Annual inventory counts

**Position Requirements**
- Minimum education requirement: Grade 12 graduate
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to operate material handling equipment (i.e. Forklift)
- Previous working experience as a Warehouse Worker will be considered an advantage.
- Willing to learn and train in the job role.
- Must be detail oriented and focused on accuracy in all duties
- Must have exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word Excel, Projects, Access)
- QuickBooks/SmartService software experience an asset
- Must be an adept learner with respect to new software programs & processes as required
- Must be able to maintain an effective level of self-motivation & be goal oriented
- Must be able to be adaptable, multi-task and work effectively with mínimal direction or supervision
