Parksville, Canada Balance Physiotherapy Full time

Join the team at Balance Physiotherapy as a physiotherapy assistant. You will work in a fun, rewarding, fast paced job supporting children to develop their gross motor skills, strength and endurance in recreation activities. Working with kids means you will be climbing on playgrounds, running along side them or teaching them to pedal their bicycle. Many of our clients have autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome or intellectual disabilities. This job meets them where they are at and helps them learn fundamental skills needed for motor development.

You will work closely with a physiotherapist for training and supervision to carry out established rehabilitation activities. These activities include stretching, balance and strength programs. Following training, you will work independently with clients and their families in private homes, outdoor settings and within the community to assist them in meeting their therapeutic goals.

You will report relevant observations and progress notes to your supervising physiotherapist for ongoing program advancement.

Hours of work are flexible with each client contract being arranged based on your availability. Availability outside of school hours, after 2-6pm on weekdays or a weekend day, is an asset.
