Job Summary:
The Manager, E195-E2 Flight Technical, is responsible to the Chief Pilot and Operations Manager for evaluating and implementing technology systems that support and enhance Flight Operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Maintaining and developing relationships with NavCanada, Embraer, and other key flight technical partners to give Porter Airlines a strategic technical advantage;
- Reviewing, evaluating and proposing technology improvements;
- Issuing directives and notices to flight crew as required;
- Investigating and reviewing flight efficiency initiatives in consultation with the Flight Data Analysis Program gatekeeper;
- Maintain an active management flying block;
- Actively participating in Porter’s Flight Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations;
- Understanding, complying with and promoting the Company Safety Policy, or as assigned by the Chief Pilot or Operations Manager; and
- Assuming any responsibilities as delegated by the Chief Pilot or Operations Manager

Qualifications:

- Canadian ATPL;
- Jet experience with broad flight operational experience throughout North America and WATRS regions an asset;
- University engineering education, and/or background in aircraft maintenance, and/or flight technical experience an asset; and
- Project management experience an asset;
- Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination
