Childcare Supervisor

**Location**: Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (PMFRC) (Petawawa Ontario is in Eastern Ontario, 170 kilometers northwest of Ottawa)

**Position Type**: 1 Position - Indefinite Full Time ▪ To start March 2023

**Work Schedule**: 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday between 6:30 - 5:00 (Occasional evenings and weekends may be required)

**Salary**:$22.71-$28.40/hour

**Immediate Supervisor**:Children's Services Manager

**Language Requirement**:English Mandatory; French An Asset

**Screening Requirement**:Enhanced Reliability, Criminal Record, Vulnerable Sector, IS Security Procurement

**The Role(s)**

Under the direction of the Daycare Supervisor, the Educator will be responsible to support the delivery and facilitation of the day-to-day operations of the PMFRC Daycare / Nursery School programs as applicable. Duties may also include assisting with programs intended for facilitating children’s development (including social, emotional, physical, and intellectual). The Educator must be creative, flexible, enthusiastic, and enjoy working with children. Direct interaction with the children in all areas of the program and its activities is required**.**

**Qualifications**
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education

AND
- A demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience in a licensed childcare setting

AND
- Two Year Supervisory experience within a licensed childcare setting combination of education, training and/or experience in in supporting a senior executive or team

**Experience Requirements**
- In compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act of Ontario
- In the delivery of a quality program that provides positive educational environment, according to ECERS standards to enhance the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of each individual child within a specific age range.
- In completing monthly programming on the web-based ELECT trancing and the developmental needs of children
- In providing recommendations to program procedures, mandates, goals, and objectives to the Childcare Supervisor
- In evaluating programs through observation, identify needs and provide recommendations accordingly

**Conditions of Employment**
- Requirement to be fully vaccinated (two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine).
- Adhere to all PMFRC policies and procedures including policies regarding privacy code and confidentiality.
- Participate/ assist with all special events when required.
- Provide proof of any applicable registration with the respective regulatory body if applicable.
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record check, obtain an enhanced reliability security clearance, and vulnerable sector screening (current within 6 months).
- Valid Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle for work related travel and requisite driver’s insurance.
- Travel within the County of Renfrew.
- Thorough understanding of Canadian Armed Forces communities, systems, and policies to effectively assist families in accessing appropriate services and supports.

**The selection process and interviews will be done virtually.**
