Reporting to the Senior Manager, Energy, this position is responsible for ensuring reliable and economical delivery of natural gas to the North American consuming facilities and maintaining the company’s natural gas systems. This position will also maintain daily and monthly gas systems, generate, and reconcile natural gas invoices, and generate quarterly and annual reports for company use and federal filings. Manages the back-office activities for natural gas trading and operations. Assists front
- and mid-office staff with data gathering, entry and analysis, market research.

**What you will do**:

- Daily nomination and balancing on North American natural gas pipelines.
- Decision making concerning gas routing and nomination to minimize cost.
- Resolves cuts and emergencies on a 24/7 basis.
- Reconciles monthly invoices by researching and resolving counterparty invoices against internal systems and contracts.
- Routinely shares responsibilities with other department personnel for scheduling, accounting, and system maintenance.
- Participates in gas strategy discussions and bid-week tactical meetings and assists in development of strategy.
- Updates and evaluates plant usage (forecasts and actual) Monitors pipelines for issues relevant to operations.
- Translates monthly purchases and usage into a daily implementation plan.
- Makes decisions concerning gas routing and nomination to improve reliability and lower cost.
- Serve as the primary daily contact for plant sites, gas suppliers, and pipelines (including after-hour emergencies). Being on top of our business supports the company’s reputation as a knowledgeable and desirable business partner and ultimately results in lower gas costs.
- Due to the nature of gas scheduling being 24/7/365, these responsibilities have primary accountability but are shared with other members of the Team 40%-50% of the time.
- Translate and model energy transactions in the company’s computer systems.
- Review third party confirmations for agreement with the company’s computer systems and highlight errors or additions.
- Ensure complete documentation of energy transactions.
- Maintains the Energy and Trade Risk Management system for actual flows and daily trades, and produces monthly invoices Runs daily reports out of the system.
- Surveys operating sites for monthly and long-term forecasts of gas usage and updates systems. Assists in monthly forecasting with input assumptions.
- Prepares quarter end reports and reconciles changes.
- Requires flexibility and availiability, which may include evening, weekend, holidays, as required by the company.

**What you will bring**:

- A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and training in natural gas logistics
- Minimum of two years of experience in natural gas scheduling is preferred but not required
