Psw/caregiver

**Overview**
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support to our residents. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals who require assistance due to age, illness, or disabilities. Your responsibilities will include providing personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities, ensuring that each resident receives the highest level of care tailored to their unique needs.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Provide support during meals.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any changes in health status.
- Offer companionship and engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Support residents with dementia care, ensuring a safe and comforting environment.
- Perform some lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding resident needs and progress.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Wellness to communicate changing needs of the residents.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in senior care, home care, LTC or retirement settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and medication administration is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist residents with physical mobility.
- Compassionate demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents.
- Experience working with persons with disabilities is a plus.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Certification in caregiving or related fields is an advantage but not mandatory.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
