**Millwoods Christian School Society Early Learning Childcare Center **is now hiring a dynamic and experienced Early Childhood Educator or Early Childhood Supervisor for multiple age groups including:
Kindergarten to Grade 6 Age Children

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Level II or Level III to join our highly respected and sought after Early Learning Childcare Center team.

**Position Requirements**:

- Four hours per day, possible split-shift, leading into possible full-time
- Willingness to be mentored by more seasoned staff
- Available to attend monthly staff meetings from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.

**We are looking for a dynamic individual to**:

- Work with us during our fun-filled Summer Program
- Grow and develop into leadership roles longer term

**Must have**:

- Level II or Level III Child Care Certification
- Child Care First Aid with CPR (issued in last 3 years)
- Police Information Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Search
- A heart for children, families, and community.
- Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Able to get down on the floor and play with children.
- Able to keep up with children

**Soft Skills**:

- Punctual, flexible, and reliable.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality.
- Team player with developing leadership skills
- Working understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Docs.

**Early Childhood Educator Specific Skills**
- Understanding the workings within the childcare industry is required.
- Provide effective supervision of children at all times
- Able to guide and redirect children in situations when conflicts arise.
- Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
- Comfortable with singing Christian songs and reading Bible stories.
- Provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports

for parents, guardians or supervisor
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
- Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with

parents and other staff members
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service

providers working with children
- Be flexible in working with children of all ages

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $16.50-$18.50 per hour
