The Coordinator, Events and Recruitment participates in the planning, development and implementation of marketing and research communications initiatives for all program areas in the Faculty of Education that support student recruitment and Faculty promotion within SFU and to the external communities. The Coordinator, Events and Recruitment, assists in building brand awareness for the Faculty of Education.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Education, Communications, or Marketing with two years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of educational programs in the Faculty of Education within public and post
- secondary sectors.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), editing, and proofreading skills.
- Excellent project management, interpersonal and conflict management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment and to demonstrate a high level of tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
- Ability to meet multiple milestones and project deadlines.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Internet and web-based operations and functionality.
- Ability to design documents in a variety of formats appropriate to intended audience (e.g., posters, brochures, pamphlets, flyers, programs, invitations, forms, oversized, bleeds).
- Excellent knowledge of current software, web, and database technologies and standards including XML, XHTML.
- current scripting languages; JavaScript; (CSS; W3C Software Usability Guidelines); and accessibility guidelines.
- Excellent knowledge of a variety of operating systems (e.g., OS X, Unix, Linux and Windows).
- Excellent knowledge of content management systems (e.g., Word Press, Hootsuite, Drupal, Expression Engine, CraftCMS or Adobe Experience Manager).
- Excellent knowledge of SEO/SEM, Google Analytics and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Good knowledge of design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Ability to use online survey tools (i.e., SurveyMonkey, SharePoint).
