**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager of Ambulatory Care or delegate, the Clerk Typist is responsible for providing general office duties and accurate data entry and transcription in support of the Ambulatory Care.
Duties include, but are not limited to: registering patients and entering doctors’ lab orders through Meditech; assisting in entering specimens from outside hospitals and satellite clinics; accurately typing surgical and autopsy reports, consults, referral letters, memos and any other correspondence as required by the department; filing reports and maintaining filing system; sorting and delivering mail, answering the telephone; photocopying; faxing; booking, schedule appointments; maintaining supplies and any other related duties as assigned.
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade 12
- One year secretarial or business course
- Medical Terminology Course or willingness to obtain
- One (1) year experience in the clerical field
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Windows
- Good interpersonal and communication skills - a high degree of tact, judgement and confidentiality
- Ability to work in an area with frequent interruptions
- Competencies in other languages considered an asset, French preferred

**Hours**:
- Permanent, Part-Time (10%) Position; 7 Hours Bi-weekly
**Compensation and Incentives**:
$20.09 - $21.91 Hourly
