**Objective**
To supervise the safe and efficient operation of a concrete batch plant including concrete mixer drivers and plant maintenance to ensure delivery of quality product, timely delivery and customer satisfaction.- Scope:

- Volume: 20,000 m3
- Staff: 6 employees
- Customers: 100+ of varying sizes and sophistication
- Materials: 1200 MT of truck traffic per day
- Logistics: Responsible for up to 20 orders per day for quality and on-time delivery
- Tools: Command Concrete Dispatch software and Concrete Direct GPS system**Responsibilities**
- Health and Safety:
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. Responsible for ensuring safety guideline are followed by employees on a daily basis.
- Correct safety issues immediately when possible, and offer employees coaching on safe work practices.
- Ensures all aspects of his/her role are executed in a safe manner.
- Responsible for keeping accurate and organized daily safety talks binder.
- Document near misses and significant coaching events to plant manager along with plant safety issues. Ensure safety documentation is up to date with Safety minutes and tool box talk sheets and communicated to the plant employees and drivers.
- Batching:
- In a fast paced, customer oriented environment, responsible for scheduling concrete deliveries, providing pricing to customers, ordering raw material as required for production and ensuring accurate batching to produce a quality product to meet the customers' requirement on a daily basis.
- This role will assist the plant manager in his/her daily plant operation duties by managing resources needed and batch quality concrete.
- In this role, you will also be asked to supervise a group of drivers and help coordinate the truck loading process, batch the appropriate concrete, and coordinate plant maintenance.
- Safety is the number one priority and, as such, you will need to supervise safe working procedures and follow group policies.
- HR/Coaching & Mentoring:
- Report to the Manager regarding situations that require disciplinary actions.
- Foster an effective environment for employee relations.
- Ensure employees have a daily job list and inform them of any irregular work hours.
- Environment:
- Demonstrate a commitment to meet/exceed environmental compliance.
- Have an understanding of the procedures for environmental issues such as spills, dust control, truck idling, etc. are outlined in the EMS manual.
- Ensure spill containment is on hand at all times.
- Reporting:
- Maintain an accurate account of the volume sold, rejected and resold on a daily basis.
- Submit reports on time to area administer.
- Submit Quality Control report on a monthly basis to Quality Control Manager.
- Ensure all COD money is collected before concrete is sold, unless otherwise directed from manager.
- Keep an accurate account of COD sales.
- Maintain a COD log of quotes supplied with contact numbers.
- Keep an accurate account of fuel usage.
- Ensure all invoices are approved by the Plant Manager.
- Promote and ensure full usage driver tablets for electronic tickets, safety documentation, pre-trip inspections and ordering through our proprietary Concrete Direct system.
- Ensure mechanic is receiving all inspection reports from drivers.
- Document issues with drivers.
- Sales:
- Communicate opportunities and threats to Plant Manager and Sales Representative.
- Communicate customer issues with plant manager and/or appropriate Lafarge employee.
- Ensure all COD calls are followed up on and strive to up sell all COD’s towards a VAP product.
