**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Associate Registrar and the Student Systems Analyst, the IT Student will work on a key project over a 4-month period to assist in student records cleanup in preparation for migration from one system to another. The student will be guided by the Registrar’s office and work closely with the IM staff to identify and clean student records.

**Responsibilities**
- Working with a student data set, analyze student records for duplicates, and report inconsistencies.
- Identify primary student records and confirm whether the records are ready for migration.
- Under the supervision of the Student Systems Analyst, update the student information system by flagging corrected student records and if necessary, merge duplicate records.
- Assist in the documentation of student record data clean-up process.
- Other duties as assigned by the Associate Registrar and/or the Student Systems Analyst

**Qualifications**
- Knowledge of relational databases. Direct experience in Student Information System is considered an asset.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and reporting
- Good data analysis skills
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently.
- Able to work cooperatively and collaborate with other team members.
- Good understanding of computer systems and mobile devices
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues.
- Vaccines (COVID-19) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code_
