**About the Company & the Role**

Sun Mountain is seeking a **Crusher Foreman **at an operating mine in British Columbia. This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced mining company with multiple operating assets in precious and base metals. You will receive direction from the Assistant Mill Superintendent. This is a permanent, full-time role.

**Primary Responsibilities**

Demonstrating safety is a top priority in our organization. You will be a champion in promoting and supporting an effective safety culture and a safe working environment.

You will liaise with the Mill Operations supervisor and the Mill Maintenance supervisor with respect to maintenance planning and crusher downtime, and with Metallurgy with respect to testing requirements or circuit revisions. While on site, you will be responsible for all aspects affecting the crusher personnel. You will supervise the operation of the primary and secondary crushing plants.
- Work efficiently to meet the organizations deliverables on time and on budget
- Develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and follow safe practices, policies, and procedures
- Conduct weekly safety meetings for crusher crews
- Supervise the operation of the crushing plants so as to achieve target production on time and on budget
- Proficient with computer programs for process control
- Ensure operating reports are completed correctly
- Conduct orientation and training as required
- Understand and follow the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement
- Motivate others and initiate change that yields positive results in terms of safety, the environment, production, and cost management in the mill area

**Minimum Requirements**
- Dedication to safety and a commitment to promoting safety values
- High School (grade 12)
- Technical diploma is highly desirable
- 5 years of relevant crushing experience
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- A solid background in the operation, maintenance, and optimization of crushing and grinding plants, tailings management, and effluent treatment
- Proficiency with MS Windows and Office products is required
- Strong background and track record in process control and plant optimization
- Valid Driver's license and a clean driver’s abstract
