Utilities Supervisor

**Utilities Supervisor - Distribution and Collection**:
**Permanent Full Time**

**Position Overview**
Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Utilities Supervisor is responsible for the leadership, operation, and maintenance of the Town’s wastewater collection/water distribution systems. As the Utilities Supervisor, the incumbent is accountable for prioritizing, planning, coordinating and directing staff involved in water distribution and waste
- water collection. Further supervisory responsibilities include the prepa
- ration of schedules and operational plans, organization of staff, materials, vehicles, and equipment, while working within budgetary constraints.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum grade 12 education and a minimum of five (5) years recent and relevant experience in Municipal water distribution and sewer collection.
- Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
- Water Distribution Level II Certification of Qualification or Competency from Environmental Operators Certification Program.
- Wastewater Collection Level II Certification of Qualification or Competency from Environmental Operators Certification Program.
- Water Treatment Level I Certification of Qualification or Competency from Environmental Operators Certification Program
- Wastewater Treatment Level I Certification of Qualification or Competency from Environmental Operators Certification Program
- Cross Connection Control and Confined Space certificates.
- Valid Occupational First Aid Level 1 and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certificates.
- Valid B.C. driver’s license - class 3 with airbrake endorsement.
- Ability to report, in person, within 25 minutes from receipt of call-in.
