**JOB SUMMARY**

As a Rehab Specialist, you will be working with a Senior Physiotherapist in the Team Care model, for the delivery and management of a joint caseload. This includes being part of patient assessments, jointly creating individual programs based on assessment results and individual patient goals.

**RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES**
- Provide comprehensive assessment and treatment of patients using the Plan of Care
- Development of safe and effective therapeutic programs
- Patient education on their conditions and injuries
- Clear and concise coaching for proper execution of movement patterns
- Maintain up to date clinical charting using Jane Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system (training provided)
- Collaboration with other health care professionals to provide both relevant and up to date information regarding health history and patient progress with progress reports and Doctors notes as required
- Advise client on different types of supportive bracing options and mobility aids as needed

**Skills and Knowledge - The extras**
- Ability to identify, select, develop, and prescribe intervention strategies to maintain, rehabilitate, or enhance movement and performance, based on assessment findings to suit the needs of each individual
- A strong understanding of both chronic and acute injuries/conditions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education**
- Bachelors Degree in Human Kinetics or Equivalent Health Science Degree

**Certifications/License**
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario
- Must carry liability insurance
- Must have and maintain current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications

**Experience**
- 1-2 years of experience within a rehabilitation and exercise therapy environment is a strong asset

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:
