The warehouse manager will be responsible for ensuring that finished goods are placed in designated areas. They will be responsible for checking the quality of materials before the boxes and/or drums filled with scrap metal are tagged for shipment. This can involve instructing staff to conduct quality control by testing with instruments provided. Packing slips must also be checked for accuracy.

Prior to packaging and shipping scrap metal, the warehouse manager will be responsible for ensuring the proper sorting of product. They will be responsible for creating packing slips, determining when there is enough material to ship, and coordinating shipping.

Responsibilities will include the maintenance of the warehouse in order to maintain its order and tidiness. They can involve instructing staff and lift drivers to sort unfinished goods and setting up work areas for the production. They may also have to coordinate with the leaders of other departments to ensure that the warehouse is running properly.

Warehouse supervisors will need to oversee the reception of deliveries and incoming loads. Proper record of incoming deliveries is crucial to the company's success.

When receiving, the warehouse manager may also have to assign storage locations for incoming goods. They must be able to interact with suppliers to coordinate deliveries. Being able to answer any warehouse-related questions a supplier might have is essential for a warehouse manager wishing to excel in their role.

Supervising a warehouse can involve having to move heavy items around the facility, sometimes requiring the need to move items onto high shelves. Pallet jacks and forklifts are tools used to shift heavy objects, and warehouse supervisors require knowledge and experience to use them skillfully. This may require certification to prove proficiency.

$27 an hour.

Ils peuvent impliquer de demander au personnel et aux conducteurs d'ascenseurs de trier les produits non finis et d'aménager des zones de travail pour la production. Ils peuvent également devoir se coordonner avec les dirigeants d’autres départements pour garantir le bon fonctionnement de l’entrepôt.

Les superviseurs d’entrepôt devront superviser la réception des livraisons et des chargements entrants. Un enregistrement correct des livraisons entrantes est crucial pour le succès de l'entreprise.

Lors de la réception, le responsable de l'entrepôt peut également être amené à attribuer des emplacements de stockage aux marchandises entrantes. Ils doivent être capables d'interagir avec les fournisseurs pour coordonner les livraisons. Être capable de répondre à toutes les questions liées à l'entrepôt qu'un fournisseur pourrait avoir est essentiel pour un responsable d'entrepôt souhaitant exceller dans son rôle.

Les matériaux manquants sur les tickets de balance entrants peuvent être un problème fréquent. Lorsque les clients appellent, tout problème, y compris les problèmes de qualité ou les déclassements, doit être expliqué. Des photos et des courriels doivent être envoyés aux fournisseurs ainsi qu’à l’acheteur.
