Sanivac is looking for an **hydrovac operator** to join its construction team as a **hydrovac truck driver**. As an **hydrovac operator**, you will be required to collaborate with the hydrovac driver assistant in order to perform mainly soft excavation, hydro-excavation on construction sites.

Thanks to its 425 employees, Sanivac has been a pioneer in sewer cleaning, portable toilet and restroom trailer rentals, septic tank pumping, grease trap pumping, hydro excavation, and urban infrastructure maintenance since 1961.

**Salary **:Between $33,50 - $36,50 / hours

**Schedule **:Full-time, daytime, Monday to Friday, 40-50 hours per week

**The challenges we have for you**:

- Drive the truck to and from construction sites by the dispatch service
- Operate the hydrovac truck on construction sites and perform pumping and hydro-excavation as required by clients.
- Maintain good communication with the dispatcher during the workday and report any important information
- Collaborate with your assistant and perform tasks with respect and attention to detail, maintaining a professional relationship with clients
- Conduct a safety inspection before departure and adhere to traffic regulations
- Properly fill out daily documentation
- Perform any other related tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor

**The skills we are looking for**:

- A valid Class D license (with airbrake endorsement) is required for drivers.
- Previous experience in hydrovac, trucking, vacuum truck, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Mechanical inclination is an asset.
- Geographical knowledge of the Ottawa region.
- Reliability, autonomy, sense of observation, and initiative.
- Strong teamwork, professional integrity, and diligence.
- Good physical condition and comfort working outdoors in all seasons.
