A prominent multinational company with over 10 years of experience is currently hiring for an exceptional and experienced maintenance supervisor for one of our apartment communities in Ontario

Maintenance Supervisor

The maintenance supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and direction in the efficient day-to-day operations of an apartment community.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

- Must be HVAC and CPO certified
- Implements, and supervises a preventive maintenance program.
- Completes all service requests in an expeditious manner.
- Operates with the budgeted expense account and receives authorization from on-site manager for all purchases.
- Keeps maintenance shop neat and clean to include inventory control
- Delegates service requests and ensures completion within 24 hours.
- Takes responsibility for inventory control, keeps a detailed inventory list, and orders supplies and parts every week.
- Performs preventive maintenance on exterior touch up paint, stucco, wood repair, A/C coil/filters, smoke detectors, flush hot water heaters, irrigation checks, electrical checks, and roof repairs.
- Conducts apartment and property inspections.
- Fosters a positive, active and collaborative relationship with residents, and vendors.
- Enforces and adheres to company policies, rules and regulations..
- Follows company policy in regards to documentation and record keeping procedures
- Must possess excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Must always be courteous and helpful to residents, prospective residents and co-workers.
- Communicates effectively and on a regular basis with Supervisor to update him/her on community
- Ensures service requests are completed timely and follow-up

**About the Position**:

- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors; order supplies and maintain parts inventory.
- Review and/or write manuals for maintenance activities and develop files in accordance with DOT.
- Plan, schedule, and establish priorities to set deadlines to ensure completion of maintenance activities in a safe environment, while meeting the dispatch obligations.
- Ensures all bill backs, and job coding is completed. Works with accounting on all financial responsibilities for garage.
- Interview, hire, train, provide direction, conduct evaluations, discipline, sets shop hours and recommend pay adjustments for subordinates.
- Other maintenance duties as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Knowledge of tanker, van, dump, pneumatic and roll-off spec's/maintenance. Good understanding of engine and OEM diagnostic software tools. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

**Requirements**:

- Five years' experience in maintenance activities in the transportation industry required.
- Two years of financial experience and responsibility of a transport maintenance facility.
- Formal training in airbrake assembly/repair, air conditioning and SCR engines required.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Class A CDL/Class B CDL preferred

**Salary**: $18.00-$26.00 per hour
