What are we looking for:
Are you passionate about supporting new mothers and promoting breastfeeding as the best start for babies? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lactation Consultant to join our team and provide expert breastfeeding support to new mothers and their infants.

As a Lactation Consultant, you will play a vital role in assisting mothers with breastfeeding challenges, providing education on breastfeeding techniques, and offering guidance on lactation-related issues. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing care plans, and offering ongoing support to ensure successful breastfeeding experiences for mothers and their babies.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of breastfeeding mothers and infants.
- Provide education and guidance on breastfeeding techniques, positioning, and latch.
- Assist with breastfeeding challenges such as low milk supply, nipple pain, and infant feeding difficulties.
- Develop personalized care plans and provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement to mothers during their breastfeeding journey.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of consultations and follow-up care.

**Requirements**:

- Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential required.
- Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Lactation Consultant or in a related role.
- Strong knowledge of breastfeeding physiology, infant feeding practices, and lactation support techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work well independently and to exercise sound judgement

**Salary**: $30.00-$60.00 per hour
