**Position Summary**:The United Church in Meadowood (UCiM) is an active congregation located in south St. Vital, Winnipeg. We are a welcoming and diverse group of people within an affirming, inclusive, seven-day-a-week church working to make a difference in our wider community. UCiM is home to a beautiful Kawai grand piano. The acoustics and flexible arrangement of performing space in the sanctuary has drawn community choirs to rehearse and perform. We are fortunate to have a 15-20 mixed voice adult choir who regularly sing anthems as part of weekly worship.

Music is an integral part of worship. We enjoy varied styles of music from traditional to contemporary. The Pianist is responsible for musical accompaniment during worship services, additional church events, and choir practices and performances. The Pianist works in collaboration with the Minister and Music Director.
- Formal music training
- Experience with choir accompaniment and playing with other musicians
- Familiarity with a variety of musical styles and worship appropriate music
- Church musical experience would be an asset
- Strong ability to sight read and improvise
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Flexible nature and ability to pivot within changing situations
- Strong organizational skills

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Part-time hours: 6 per week

**Salary**: $500.00-$650.00 per month
