Position Summary

Based in Blackkfalds and reporting to the Branch Manager, the Heavy Equipment Technician will play an important role as part of the Maintenance Management. This role will be responsible for the maintenance of all commercial vehicles and equipment at the Blackfalds Branch.
Essential Responsibilities
- Inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of the various components of on and highway equipment.
- Must have all and own tooling to perform required tasks.
- Manage repair procedures efficiently with mínimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment safely.
- Must be able to resent yourself in a positive, professional manner to colleagues and customers.
- Participates in company and manufacturer - sponsored training programs.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Engine experience considered an asset.
- Ability to understand and effectively use computer equipment for diagnostics.
- Able to communicate in clear English with the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions for co-workers, managers, and customers.
- Trailer CVIP license is an asset.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
- 3-5yr experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician
Working Conditions
- Shop Work.
- Must wear personnel protective equipment when required.
- This position is expected to travel infrequently.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $42.00-$45.00 per hour
