**Position Overview**:
The Production Manager will help coordinate, support and oversee the entire production process for both Field House Brewing Co. and NiceLife Cocktail Co., ensuring that all products are crafted to the highest standards through systems and leadership of the team. This role requires a hands-on leader who can guide and inspire the production team, while also implementing and managing efficient production practices. The Production Manager will also be responsible for scheduling, inventory control, procurement, and managing production budgets.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Team Leadership & Development**:
- Inspire and guide the production team toward achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Develop and mentor team members, encouraging skill growth and professional development.
- Lead regular team meetings and provide clear communication regarding production targets, challenges, and improvements.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability across all areas of production.
**Production Scheduling, Inventory Control and Logistics**:
- Coordinate and optimize production schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of production orders.
- Oversee inventory management and control, ensuring that materials are ordered and stocked in alignment with production schedules.
- Manage procurement for raw materials and packaging, ensuring the best cost-quality balance while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Work closely with logistics to manage timely shipments and storage of finished goods.
**Analytical Thinking & Continuous Improvement**:
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production performance, reduce waste, and improve cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments such as quality control, sales, and finance to ensure seamless alignment of production goals with company objectives.
**Budget & Cost Management**:
- Develop and manage production budgets, ensuring all operations are performed **cost-effectively and within budget constraints**.
- Analyze operational costs and proactively seek opportunities for cost savings while maintaining the highest quality of production.
- Track and report on budgetary performance, inventory levels, and production outputs to upper management.
**Key Skills & Qualifications**:
- Proven leadership experience in production, ideally in a craft brewery, beverage company, or similar industry.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and lead a diverse team.
- Ability to think analytically and strategically, using data to inform decision-making and improve processes.
- Experience with production scheduling, inventory control, procurement, and cost management.
- Knowledge of brewing and beverage production processes is an asset.
- Proficiency in using production management software and ERP systems.
- Safety-conscious with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a production environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
