**JOB OVERVIEW**

The **Marketing Specialist, Fundraising Communications **supports marketing and communications planning, implementation and evaluation and has a strong understanding of media planning, marketing and communications strategies and tactics. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing, Fundraising Communications, the Marketing Specialist supports the delivery of marketing and PR campaigns for CCS’s top tier fundraising programs, such as the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure, Relay For Life and Dry Feb, and supports the CIBC partnership as title sponsor of the CIBC Run for the Cure. This role helps drive public engagement and revenue by building awareness of the organization’s impact and positioning CCS as the health charity of choice for Canadians.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:

- Support the planning and execution of paid advertising campaigns, including tasks related to creative development and media plans.
- Support the execution of public relations campaigns, including tasks related to employee spokesperson recruitment, interview coordination and stewardship.
- Communicate with external agencies, vendors and freelancers as required to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the mass marketing, brand, digital and fundraising teams to adapt and integrate advertising and PR campaigns for CCS platforms, ensuring consistent messaging across CCS’s owned channels.
- Support the production of marketing and communications assets including digital content, social media and other collateral as required.
- Consolidate feedback and manage approvals.
- Measure, analyze and report on the effectiveness of campaigns and contribute to overall campaign feedback and recommendations.Create project briefs, presentations and reports.
- Support CIBC as a National Partner and the execution of associated deliverables, such as event day activations and Team CIBC fundraising initiatives.
- Manage the CIBC approval process and support CCS cross-functional teams by providing CIBC content and information as needed.
- Manage the development and design of the CIBC Stewardship Report and delivery of the accountability report.
- Ensure CCS and CIBC brand integrity is maintained.
- Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Undergraduate degree and/or post-graduate certificate in marketing, advertising, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience working in a fast-paced agency or on a marketing team
- Experience in the non-profit sector is an asset
- Demonstrated experience in strategic marketing and creative development
- Flexibility, resourcefulness, resiliency and the willingness and capacity to produce quality results to deadline
- Ability to synthesize information and provide clear and concise feedback
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Superior interpersonal and relationship skills to successfully engage with partners, vendors, media and internal stakeholders to execute effective and creative campaigns
- Strong organizational, time management and project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including a keen attention to detail
- Demonstrated professionalism, tact and diplomacy and ability to build and sustain positive relationships
- A collaborative team player with the ability to think strategically, be proactive and take initiative
- Agency and account management experience is an asset
- French/English bilingualism is a strong asset
