**About the Position**

Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator within the IT Department.
Reporting to the IT Manager, the Project Coordinator will effectively coordinate Norfolk General
Hospital and West Haldimand IT driven projects from initial conception to completion of
implementation. The incumbent for this role is responsible for driving the organization of stakeholders
corporate strategy and priorities. Using project management principles and working with the IT
Manager the incumbent will ensure project milestones are met in accordance with driving
technological innovation to increase positivity in staff and patient experience.

**Requirements**:

- University degree or college diploma in computer science, engineering or business
- Certification such as PMP or equivalent
- Experience with the successful delivery of IT projects in the role of Project Manager
- A thorough understanding of IT Project Management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile

and/or Hybrid is required
- Exposure, knowledge and experience with IT Infrastructure Architecture, Microsoft 365
- Solid leadership skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to effectively multitask and quickly prioritize short
- and long-term tasks
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to conduct research into IT systems and products as required.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly terminology.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Able to exercise independent judgment and act.
- Experience with Clinical Applications and Health Information Systems an asset

**Position Requirements**
- Ensure that staff work in compliance with Norfolk General Hospital’s Mission, Vision and Values

as articulated in the Mission statement.
- Lead IT core and IT-dependent clinical and administrative projects following from approval state

through project execution and final project closure.
- Work with Project Team to develop detailed work plans, schedules, cost estimates, resource

plans and status reports.
- Adhere to and help develop Cyber security best practices and governance policies.
- Update and maintain our systems to a fully optimal state that provides our staff with fast and

reliable access to data, smart workflows to improve productivity and put ease into tasks.
- Attending IT Steering Committee and Project Planning Committee meetings to assist in the

approval and time frame allotment for new projects against existing initiatives.
- Focus on three key performance indicators for all projects they lead: On-time delivery, On
- budget, and Stakeholder Satisfaction and that all requirements are met.
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
- Works with the Project team to collect and organize all documents (technical, financial, etc.) for

the project and ensure the document package is complete and available or archived
appropriately at the close of the project.
- Creates an environment that promotes and supports safe, effective and ethical practice.
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of project status updates.
- Committed to creating a practice environment that fosters professional growth and improves

professional practice.
- Develop, implement and monitor departmental based goals and indicators in line with the

Hospital’s Strategic Plan. Collaborates to ensure quality management, education and
information system initiatives are effectively implemented.
- Promotes interdisciplinary and interdepartmental relationships and a teamwork environment.
- Ensure that staff work safely at all times and in compliance with NGH policies and procedures

and the Occupational
- Health and Safety Act. Effectively undertakes the responsibilities of a Supervisor, as outlined in

the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Conducts accident investigations and implements
corrective measures where hazards are identified in the
- workplace.
- Ensure projects are meeting timelines giving priority to our 3-year Roadmap and executed in a

manner that adheres to dependencies of each.
- Under IT leadership direction, responsible for all aspects of the development and

implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
- Contribute to the workload balance of internal resources and assist with identifying the need

for onboarding IT managed services where necessary to meet deadlines.
- Help to define project scope and objectives as they align with our corporate strategy.
- Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables
