**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Conduct religious ceremonies, rituals, and prayers in accordance with Hindu traditions.
- Provide spiritual counseling and support to individuals and families during times of need
- Educate community members about Hindu beliefs, practices, and values through workshops and discussions.
- Lead community gatherings and events, fostering a sense of belonging among participants.
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, presenting teachings in an engaging manner.
- Collaborate with other religious leaders and community organizations to promote interfaith dialogue and understanding.

**Job Requirements**
- Shastri Degree is required; An Acharya Degree is desirable.
- Preferably a university graduate and has TOEFL passed or meets English requirement as per Canadian Work VISA requirements.
- Fluency in English, Hindi and at least any ONE of the regional/official languages of Bharat
- At least 8 to 10+ years of experience as a priest in Sanatan/Hindu temples in India or abroad
- Must have good communication skills (English, Hindi & Any ONE or more regional languages) and demonstrate good interpersonal skills to work with devotees, temple staff, management, and visitors.
- Required to be trained in and be able to perform daily and specific rituals for temple deities in both Vedic and Pauranik traditions.
- Must be able to organize and perform major festivals or celebrations independently including specific religious anniversaries of temple deities, All Navratries, Ganesh Chaturthi, Rudra Abhishek, Satyanarayana Pooja, Ram Navami, Hanumaan Jyanti, Janmashtami, Kartikeyan Puja, Shiv Ratri.
- Be able to perform ceremonies including but not limited to Marriages, Funerals, Pitru Shard homas, Satsang, etc.
- Must be able to deliver spiritual lectures on Sanatan /Hindu scriptures including.
- Bhagwat Geeta, Ramayan and able to explain Vedic/Upanishadic teachings in plain language.
- Should be able sing Bhajans and other daily prayers including Hanuman Chalisa, Invocation prayers, Aarati mantras.
- Must be able to play harmonium or any other traditional musical instrument will be an asset.
Must be willing to relocate to Winnipeg within a reasonable amount of time after accepting and signing the employment contract.

Pay: $15.80-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
