**Water and Sewer Pipe Layer**

**What You'll Do**:

- ** Skilled Pipe Installation**: Utilize your pipe laying experience to install sanitary and stormwater sewer structures, catch basins, manholes, and pipe systems. Your expertise will contribute to the efficient and accurate installation of pipelines.
- ** Support and Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with the Main Line Sewer Foreman, providing assistance and contributing to the overall project success. Your teamwork will ensure smooth project execution.
- ** Precision and Quality**: Assist in moving and aligning concrete and plastic pipes, while ensuring proper grades are maintained. Your attention to detail will contribute to the accuracy and quality of the installed pipelines.
- ** Trench Base Preparation**: Grade and level trench bases using tamping machines, shovels, and hand tools. Your efforts will contribute to the stability and durability of the pipeline infrastructure.

**Statement of Qualifications**:

- ** Relevant Experience**: Previous experience in pipe laying for water and sewer systems is required. Your expertise will contribute to the successful installation of pipelines.
- ** Knowledge and Skills**: Possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. Relevant certifications and familiarity with pipe laying techniques are beneficial, but not mandatory.
- ** Physical Ability**: The role requires physical stamina to access trenches and handle heavy objects. Good physical health and the ability to lift and manipulate objects of moderate weight are essential.
- ** Collaborative Nature**: You thrive in a team environment and can effectively contribute to project success under pressure.

**Work Environment/Physical/Sensory Effort**:

- You'll work in a busy and dynamic environment, both indoors and outdoors, adapting to various weather conditions.
- The role involves physical work, including long periods of standing, bending, and lifting. You'll be required to handle objects of moderate weight.
- Personal protective equipment will be provided and must be worn to ensure safety.
- Hazards associated with the construction industry may be present.
