- The goal of our Summer Student Program is to develop the leaders of tomorrow by providing meaningful work experiences that allow students to gain valuable industry knowledge from all levels of the organization. The Students will have the opportunity to grow their professional network, give back to the community, and gain real world skills that will enhance their knowledge applicable to their studies._

**Interested?**
The summer student will assist with pipeline operational checks as well as assist with minor maintenance while being mentored and supervised by our technical/operations group.

**What You'll Be Doing**
- Perform tasks during the summer (Painting, installation of ROW marker posts, Cleaning)
- Coordinate work schedule with other operators daily for assigned duties. (pulling/sending scrapers, meter checks, biocide, weed mowing)
- Ensures personal safety and follow safe operating procedures for facilities.
- Maintains current safety training and certification.
- Learns and becomes familiar with and follow all Gibson’s EH&S manuals and policies.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards.
- Demonstrates competency and follow Operating Procedures.
- Completes general upkeep, routine and regularly scheduled maintenance of facilities.
- Reports problems to Supervisor.
- Performs maintenance and upkeep of vehicles.
- Performs routine building maintenance.
- Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

**What You Will Bring**
- Completion of High School Diploma.
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Have strong mechanical aptitude.
- Able to work alone and complete tasks in a safe manner with mínimal supervision.
- Good communication skills.

**Working Conditions**
- Required skills include the ability to lift, carry and pull up to 50 lbs, effectively work at heights, climb stairs and ladders frequently and walk for 50-60% of the shift which may include walking on uneven surfaces.
