Clinical Case Consultant

The Therapeutic Family Care Program (TFC) for the Children's Aid Societies of Durham, Highland Shores, and Kawartha Haliburton is seeking a clinically oriented worker.

This position provides an exciting growth opportunity to work in an interesting, challenging, supportive and team oriented environment. TFC is grounded in the model of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and it would be beneficial if applicants have an understanding of, or training in this practice. The Clinical Case Consultant (CCC) will be responsible for supporting caregivers to understand children/youth and families through a lens of trauma and attachment. The CCC will be required to do clinical formulation and provide clinically orientated supports (e.g., Therapeutic parenting strategies, regulation work, etc.) to families and their networks. It will also be important for the successful applicant to be comfortable to provide advocacy within various systems. TFC works collaboratively with our sponsoring CAS’s and community partner agencies (e.g., Child welfare, mental health and education) therefore an understanding of these systems is an asset.

**Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Education and Skills**:

- A minimum of a BSW Degree or equivalency is preferred for this position.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a highly skilled level of clinical services.
- A sound knowledge of the systems approach to working with families.
- Excellent assessment, planning and formulation skills, and the ability to teach such skills to others.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- DDP certification or willing to be developed in this area.
- Knowledge of the child protection system.
- A valid driver's license and $1,000,000 automobile liability insurance.

Salary Range: $69,177 - $84,172. We offer a competitive benefits and compensation package and opportunities for professional development.
