The Labour Manager is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining the daily labour schedule of Roelands Plant Farms Inc. The incumbent manages the day-to-day labour workflow and demonstrates effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy at all times, with strong resolution skills.

**Job Duties**
- Develop and maintain the daily labour schedule.
- Plan, prepare, issue and control schedules and coordinate with equipment and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow production.
- Manage the day-to-day workflow and people movement and ensure communication with all departments involved so that deadlines are maintained.
- Advise affected departments of the status of work in progress and any potential problems to ensure that solutions are found.
- Participate in providing solutions to planned scheduling conflicts as soon as found/notified.
- Provide alternative scheduling for conflicts that arise.
- Ensure scheduling deadlines are met.
- Work with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes with scheduling.
- Identify and implement labour planning system and process improvements.
- Work to stabilize the labour schedule to promote company efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with departments involved and lead daily labour meetings.
- Supervise greenhouse team members in daily activities and provide necessary training when time permits.
- Any other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills in both English and Spanish
- Proven ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all personnel and outside agencies
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Able to analyze and assess training and development needs
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Conflict resolution and people management skills
- Politically and culturally sensitive
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills in Microsoft Office
- Excellent time management skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 16 months

**Salary**: $1.00 per year
