The Robbie Dean Family Counselling Centre (RDFCC) is a community funded, registered Charity, established in 2013. The Centre is located in Pembroke and provides free services to an average of 1500 individuals annually throughout Renfrew County. Working with existing organizations and agencies, the RDFCC develops and implements programs and services to meet the needs of the community by working towards closing some of the mental health system gaps. The RDFCC is committed to providing programs that use a pro-active approach to deliver unique and preventative mental health support services.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Group Facilitator to join our team. As a Group Facilitator, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals in a group setting. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate group sessions and promote a safe and inclusive environment for participants to share their experiences and learn from one another.

The following groups are currently offered on a yearly rotation basis at the Robbie Dean Centre:

- Grief and Loss support group
- Anger Management groups (men and women)
- Anxiety and Depression group
- Trauma Recovery groups (men and women)
- Senior’s wellness group

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct group sessions and facilitate discussions on various topics using a hybrid model
- Organize group schedules and contact participants from the wait list
- Develop, implement and oversee new groups based on community needs
- Create a supportive and non-judgmental environment that encourages active participation from all group members
- Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals as they navigate through their personal challenges
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure the delivery of comprehensive care
- Collect data and maintain accurate records of group attendance, progress, and outcomes
- Develop and implement strategies to promote effective communication and conflict resolution within the group
- Participate in bi-weekly team meetings
- May be required to provide community-based education workshops
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices**Qualifications and skills**:

- Post graduate college diploma in social service work or mental health & addiction studies.
- Minimum of five years counselling experience including group supports.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with participants
- Must possess an understanding of group dynamics including managing multiple needs.
- Knowledge of mental health services act, privacy health legislation and other relevant legislation
- Must have experience using trauma based clinical modalities and be comfortable using zoom.
- Participation in professional development such as the National Anger Management Association training

- Proficient in data collection and record keeping
- Compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach to working with individuals facing challenges

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
