**Supervisor of Infrastructure, Systems and Security (1.0 FTE)**

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and designing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) activities within the organization. It also provides administrative support for the daily operations of the ICT department. The Supervisor of Infrastructure, System, and Security (ISS) collaborates closely with the Manager of ICT/CIO and decision-makers in different departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for the organization.

**Permanent full-time**: 12 Month position

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Design short and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements
- Create and maintain policies, procedures, metrics and training plans for infrastructure, systems, security administration, and project management
- Manage the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Wi-Fi, internet, intranet, security, and implementations
- Supervise a team of network analysts and technicians in operational and strategic planning
- Participate in Request For Proposals (RFP), bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts
- Assess the growth of ICT infrastructure, security, and systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine business and systems requirements for implementing new technologies
- Oversee research on potential technology solutions to support procurement efforts
- Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback and corrective action when needed
- Create business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for ICT expenditures and initiatives
- Implement ICT policies and procedures for architecture, security, disaster recovery, purchasing, and service provision
- Negotiate vendor, and consultant service agreements
- Manage ICT assets is adherence to current standards and policies
- Maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organizations’ executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent ICT activities
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience managing networks, systems, and security environments
- Minimum three (3) years’ supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment

**Assets**:

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CCNA, Microsoft Azure developer, Azure Administrator)
- Strong technical knowledge of networks and systems, including M365, Azure Cloud, Azure Directory, Fortinet, and SQL
- Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including extensive infrastructure, systems, and security support experience with M365, Fortinet, and Zscaler
- Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
- In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws such as CASL, PHIPA, MFIPPA, and PIPEDA
- Strong understanding of human resource management, practices, and procedures
- Strong understanding of project management principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
- Ability to present ideas effectively (user-friendly language)
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Excellent analytical, evaluative, emotional intelligence and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Experience working in a team-oriented, union, and collaborative environment

**Job Requirements**
- Valid Ontario Class driver’s license and willingness to work all regions of Bluewater District School Board (Grey and Bruce)
- Reliable vehicle
