Iron Worker Journeyman/ Apprentice

Grande Prairie, Canada KMA Construction Inc. Full time

Responsibilities:

- Fabricate and assemble metal structures, including ductwork, using various tools and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of the structures
- Cut, shape, and bend metal using press brake machines and other machining tools
- Rig and install fabricated structures according to codes and standards
- Solder or weld components together to ensure structural integrity
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as an ironworker or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of construction principles
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications
- Proficient in using various tools and equipment related to metal fabrication
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a construction environment

**Requirements**:

- Must have a journeyman ticket or registered apprentice.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 3-4 months

**Salary**: $33.81-$55.20 per hour
