We are searching for a skilled Intermediate level IT Technician to work in a fast paced and ever changing technical environment.

We are a fast growing IT and Telecom MSP providing end to end Communications and IT solutions for small and medium sized businesses in the GTA, including:

- IT Solutions and Technical Support: Desktops, laptops, tablets, servers, Office 365, GSuite, cloud migrations, backups etc.
- Network Infrastructure Builds (Routers, switches, WIFI)
- VOIP Telephone Service (SIP Trunking) and Hosted VOIP PBX service
- Telephone system sales and service and general telecom repair
- Structured Cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT3, Fiber Optic)
- Complete Managed IT Solutions
- IT and Telecom Projects

We are looking for a motivated, self-starting human to join our technical team, primarily in a role as as IT support and technical installer of IT systems.

This career will provide a technician with the opportunity to work on many different technical projects for a wide variety of customers. These will include cloud migrations, mesh wireless network installations, server deployments, internet connection installations and many others. The technician will be also be responsible for supporting specific IT clients and managing customer relationships. This is the perfect position for a technician who likes to keep it interesting and be faced with new challenges and learning opportunities on a daily basis.

The IT Technician will work in an outside setting in commercial offices supporting IT and telecom requirements for customers. Our business utilizes a virtual office with limited immediate supervision, lots of freedom and flexibility and with a focus of customer and employee retention. We also have physical office space located in Burlington Ontario.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- General PC, server and network equipment configuration, troubleshooting and repair.
- Installation of multiple types of internet connectivity including DSL, FTTN, cable, fiber optic and point to point wireless systems.
- Installation and troubleshooting of network systems including network switches, routers and wireless access points.
- Completion of general technical tasks such as mobile phone configuration, general tech support and repair, basic technical configurations of devices such as POS machines, printers, hand scanners etc
- Supervised assistance with installation of telecom equipment and telephone systems, both IP and traditional.
- Job duties may include occasional light assistance in network cable infrastructure installations.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Experience with PSA, RMM, SOC, Antivirus and Remote Access software
- Experience with installation, troubleshooting and updating of computer software, hardware and operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Server OS.
- Experience and understanding of network protocols, network switches, routers and wireless access points, IP addressing, DNS, port forwarding, etc. Ubiquiti and Cisco Meraki experience is an asset.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently, conform to project schedules and work without direct supervision.
- Able to accurately and consistently log employee time via internal management software.
- Ability to create and update IT documentation including both assets and process and procedure documents
- Technical project management skills
- **An outgoing personality, positive attitude and ability to act as a good team player is an absolute MUST.**:

- Microsoft certifications an asset but not a requirement

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
